In audio processing, noise-cancelling technology is designed to reduce ambient noise and can be applied to improve the comfort of the environment, making it quieter or more comfortable. Today, an increasing number of people opt to wear noise-cancelling headphones to strive for their own quiet among the noise, to reduce or block out external influences even distractions, so as to enable them to establish and immerse in personal consciousness. When the electronic devices show that the Active Noise Cancellation mode has been switched on, it is as if a kind of evasive sustenance in the face of difficulties, and also a shield to retain individuality. As time is a definite and known object, it is an inescapable proposition how human beings can live truly independently in a limited period. As Emerson answers, living in your own will: "By finding contemplation in silence, one can find the true self". In this exhibition, the four artists concentrate on the use of light, shadow and memory to express time, and in this way construct their personal spiritual world, focus on self-awareness, and explore the subtle connection between self-perception and worldly possessions.

The possibilities of vision are not only derived from the sensory function of the "eye", but are also affected by the will of the individual subject. Artists capture the images and feelings that linger in their minds at a certain moment, focusing on the boundary between the real and the unreal, detaching the perceived image from their own imagery. They use canvas or multiple material carriers to reconstruct the landscape, rather than a realistic representation of the actual sights. This not only allows artists to visualize similar non-intuitive elements differently, but also gives viewers a variety of visual impressions. This exhibition will invite visitors to move toward time, stimulate their imagination, foster reflection on the concepts of existence and perception, and thereby delve into the understanding of reality and the experience of self.
