The 11 Contemporary Art Center is pleased to present the group exhibition Hermit
, showcasing works by 5 artists: Blanca Nieto, Lampo Leong, Lee Juhee, Ruowei Liu, and Xinyi Qin. The exhibition will officially open on July 31, 2026.
At dawn, sunlight filters through the forest canopy, diffusing soft, iridescent light from the morning mist and lighting the dewdrops on leaves. The droplets refract light into delicate, overlapping patterns that diffuse into the forest's depths. Light and shadow trace gentle contours on the ground, then flow into mountain streams, carrying color deeper into the wilderness. Cicadas sing, cuckoos call, flowers scent the air, and life stirs anew.
In these remote mountains live hermits—elusive, yet deeply attuned to morning light, streams, and native plants. No one knows where they live, but their presence lingers in the landscape's quiet grace.
